A plain summary of how Fitplate handles payments, taxes, privacy, email, accessibility and product safety.

Payments (PCI DSS)

Checkout runs on Stripe's hosted payment page. Card details go straight to Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified provider, and never pass through or get stored on our servers.

Sales tax

Sales tax is calculated at checkout and collected where we are required to collect it.

Privacy (CCPA/CPRA and similar laws)

We collect only what we need to make and ship your order, don't sell personal information, don't use advertising cookies, and honor requests to access, correct or delete your data. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Email (CAN-SPAM)

We send transactional emails about your order (confirmation, shipping, fit check). We don't send marketing emails without your consent, and any marketing email will include a working unsubscribe link and our postal address.

Pricing and consumer protection

The price shown in the builder is the price of the panel, with US shipping included; sales tax is added at checkout. Panels are custom made, so our remake-and-refund policy is set out in section 5 of the Terms of Service.

Product safety

Our panels are unwired aluminum plates; they carry no current themselves. Switches, wiring and other electrical components you install must be rated for their load and protected by a correctly sized fuse or breaker. We recommend a qualified installer for vehicle electrical work.

Accessibility

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA. If something on the site doesn't work with your assistive technology, email [support email, e.g. support@yourdomain.com] and we'll help you complete your order and fix the problem.
